Olden lies at the far end of the Nordfjord, and nearby Nordfjordeid is used by ships calling on the same fjord. The draw is the Jostedalsbreen ice cap: walks lead up the valley to the Briksdal glacier arm, and in nearby Loen the Skylift cable car rises steeply to a summit viewpoint with hiking trails at the top.
